Below the air ducts and filters are the rooms (or "bays") in which chip manufacture occurs. This building is actually divided into two different manufacturing lines, one on the left of the building, one on the right. Each manufactures a different memory chip.
Within each manufacturing line, process steps and equipment are segregated into alternating class 100 and class 1 cleanliness rooms.
